Becoming a Briarcrest PTA member is a simple but powerful way to support our students, staff, and school traditions. Washington State PTA uses a platform called Givebacks (formerly MemberHub) to manage memberships online. The name might sound like a donation site, but it’s actually our official hub for joining, renewing, and staying connected. In just a few clicks, you’ll be part of the team that brings joy, learning, and community to life at Briarcrest!

What is Givebacks—and why does WSPTA use it?

Givebacks (formerly known as MemberHub) is the official membership management platform used by the Washington State PTA. It serves as the central hub for tracking PTA memberships, reporting board members, processing dues, and managing compliance. Local PTAs also use it to build websites, communicate with members, and offer online registration and fundraising tools.

We know the name “Givebacks” can be a little confusing—it sounds like a donation site! But in this case, it’s simply the name of the platform that powers our PTA operations statewide.

✅ Step 1: Visit Your PTA’s Givebacks Site

  • Go to your school’s dedicated Givebacks page. It usually looks like: yourschoolname.givebacks.com

  • You’ll land on a homepage with options to shop, donate, and join.

🧭 Step 2: Navigate to the Membership Section

  • Click on “Store” or “Memberships” in the top menu.

  • Look for a product labeled “PTA Membership” or “Renew Membership.”

  • Choose the membership that fits you (individual, family, bundled with spirit wear, etc.).

  • Click “Add to Cart.”

  • Enter your name, email, and any student or teacher details requested.

  • Proceed to checkout and pay via credit/debit card.

Can I join the PTA even if I don’t have a child at the school?

Absolutely! Grandparents, caregivers, alumni, and community members are all welcome. Every member strengthens our school community.

Can I pay by cash or check instead of online?

Yes! Just contact the PTA at info@briarcrestpta.org or reach out directly to membership at membership@briarcrest.org to arrange an alternative payment.

What’s included with my membership?

You’ll receive a digital membership card, ability to attend board meetings, and the chance to vote on PTA decisions. Most importantly, you’re helping fund programs that bring joy and connection to our students.

 

Do I get a physical or digital membership card?

You’ll receive a digital card via email. 

Does my membership need to be renewed every year?

Yes—PTA memberships run annually. Renewing each year helps us keep our programs strong and our community growing.

Can I purchase a membership for someone else (e.g., grandparents, caregivers)?

Yes! There are options to purchase memberships for community members, staff, and others.

Click “Forgot Password” on the Givebacks login page and follow the prompts.

I didn’t receive a confirmation email—what should I do?

Check your spam folder first. If it’s not there, email us at info@briarcrestpta.org and we’ll help you out.

How do I update my contact information after joining?

Log into your Givebacks account and edit your profile under “Settings.”
